You haven't thought things through. You were careless.
You foolishly took her for granted. She- the best thing you ever had.
You made her feel left out. As if she wasn't even involved in your relationship. You were being selfish and didn't even realize it. Instead of being a team, you decided it would be a one man show.
That drove them away.
She has suffered for a long time. She retreated into her own mind and lived in her own tremendous pain. She probably wanted to leave you, but she felt sorry for you. She was hoping you would realize what you were doing wrong and change- but you didn't.
You danced alone on the dance floor of your life while she alone next to it satß and was watching you.
You lost her because you didn't want to fully commit.
You knew you had her. You knew she was near. She was your safety net. You didn't fully commit to yourself because you didn't appreciate her enough. In all those moments where you had to make a choice—her or something or someone else—you chose the other option. For you it was a backup plan.
You lost it because you didn't understand it.
She's not like everyone else—and you are. It was impossible for you to understand her. It was impossible for you to understand what was going on in her head. She was always one step ahead of you. But she never made you aware of that. That's how she loved you. You tried to be with her and lost it so easily.
You lost her because you didn't trust her.
Maybe you didn't trust her because you felt threatened by her. Maybe somewhere deep inside you knew she was better than what you deserve, so you were suspicious of her and questioned her motives for loving you. It was really bold of you to do that. I admire how shamelessly hypocritical you were.
You lost her because you didn't see her for who she really is.
You didn't realize that special something she keeps hidden inside. You didn't get it because she never bragged about it. That's how she is. She is humble and she always puts others before herself because she knows she will make it anyway. You missed that- you should be ashamed, a ‘blind’ To be a man.
You lost her because you didn’t listen to her.
Her words never found their way to your heart and Understanding. You looked like you were listening, but you never were. That's why you lost her.
You lost her because you didn't see her value.
If things were the other way around, how would they be would you feel? How would you feel if you gave it your all and got nothing in return?
You would feel like shit— like them.
She's a girl who will always give everything she has, but you and those like you take her for granted. She then becomes a victim of her own goodness.
