What is the main defense against narcissists?
The “Grey Rock” method – become as blunt as a stone.
Narcissists are attracted to sensitive and loving people, people who are energetic and brim with empathy.
The more emotion you show, the more attractive you become to a narcissist.
The reason for this is very simple. Narcissists need their validation.
They need the attention and admiration of their victims. It feeds their egos and gives meaning to their lives.
In other words, the narcissist uses their partner as a source of interpersonal narcissistic support of sorts. There is no love in such relationships.
The fact that you are viewed and perceived as a narcissistic affirmation makes you weak and easy to control.
It's only when you let someone treat you like dirt that you'll come off as a victim, but if you play with tricks just as cunning and devious as the narcissist, you'll be able to outwit them.
Being in a narcissistic relationship is probably one of the worst experiences you can have in life.
These people suck you dry; they rob you of every little emotion – this is the first step in gaining absolute control over yourself.
When they've made it, they've got a tight grip on you. They control your emotions and your thoughts.
From that moment on you are their puppet, you dance to their tune.
In the beginning you thought you loved him. You gave him a sea of second chances despite his constant cheating.
It was because of all the so-called “hoovering tactics” and finger pointing.
That drew you back to him every time you wanted to leave him. But the fact of the matter is that you keep coming back until you hit rock bottom.
Because as long as you have even a little bit of strength, he will find a way to lure you back into the relationship , to take what little strength you have left.
Only when you have absolutely nothing left will you be able to walk. You won't be interesting anymore. You will be boring and unimportant.
Only you don't have to risk your sanity to leave the narcissist. You don't have to hit rock bottom to get away.
Try to outwit the narcissist with these clever but unobtrusive methods.
