Sophie Hunter and Benedict Cumberbatch
Several film premieres took place yesterday at the 78th Venice International Film Festival. Together with New Zealand director Jane Campion, her film Reign of the Dog came to be presented by the performers of the main roles Benedict Cumberbatch and Kirsten Dunst.
His wife Sophie Hunter came with him to support the British actor. The couple, who rarely go out together and generally lead a closed lifestyle (the last time the couple appeared together in public in 2019 at the premiere of the film War of the Currents), patiently posed on the red carpet. Usually reserved, they did not hide their feelings and even kissed.
For the release, Sophie chose a dress by New Zealand designer Emilia Wickstead, whose outfits Kate Middleton loves.

Other films judged by the jury yesterday were “The Hand of God” directed by Paolo Sorrentino, Paul Schroeder's “Cold Calculation” and Shirin Neshat and Shoji Azari's “Dreamland”, which was out of competition. The guests of the premieres were Zoe Saldana with her husband Marco Perego, Tiffany Haddish and Oscar Isaac, as well as Matt Dillon with his beloved Roberta Mastromishel.
