Penelope Cruz
In recent days, Venice has become a center of attraction for world celebrities – stars of Western and Russian show business flocked here for the grand show of Dolce & Gabbana. Yesterday, famous representatives of the film industry began to join the ranks of celebrities, who came to Italy for the 78th Venice International Film Festival: it starts today.
Among the first to arrive were Penelope Cruz, Pedro Almodovar, Kirsten Dunst, Maggie Gyllenhaal and other movie stars.

The festival will last 10 days, 21 paintings are presented in the main competition. The jury is chaired by South Korean director Bong Joon-ho, who won several Oscars last year for his film “Parasites.”
The festival will be opened by the film “Parallel Mothers” by the Spanish director Pedro Almodovar, starring Penelope Cruz and Milena Smith. The film tells the story of two women who meet in the maternity ward. They are both single and their pregnancies were not planned. Despite the fact that the main characters are very different (one is a successful photographer, and the other is a simple teenager), after a chance meeting, they become deeply connected with each other.
Perhaps the loudest premiere of the festival will be the film by director Pablo Larrain “Spencer” with Kristen Stewart about Princess Diana. The actress herself has not yet arrived in Venice, but it is unlikely that she will be able to miss such an event.
