While 46-year-old Angelina Jolie travels the world as part of a publicity tour in support of her new superhero film “The Eternals,” her 57-year-old ex-husband Brad Pitt continues to fight for custody of their five minor children. Recently, the Hollywood actor suffered another defeat in this battle. The California Supreme Court dismissed his appeal to review the previous judgment.

We are talking about the consequences of the disqualification of private judge John Uderkirk, who this spring ruled on the joint custody of Jolie and Pitt over the children. However, this did not end the case: Angelina achieved the removal of this judge, because he allegedly had a business relationship with Brad's lawyer, which he chose to hide. With the disqualification of Uderkirk, the decision on joint custody was actually annulled, but Pitt did not want to put up with this and filed an appeal – just in response to it, the actor was recently refused. The ruling, which was at the disposal of People, said that Pitt's petition was rejected without explanation.

Pitt's representatives have already commented on the situation and assured that they will continue to fight to overturn this decision, “based on the detailed findings of independent experts.” Jolie's lawyer, in turn, admitted that his client is satisfied with the actions of the California Supreme Court and is still primarily aimed at the happiness and well-being of children.

Recall that Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt back in 2016. They have already been officially divorced, but for the fifth year now they have not been able to finally agree on joint custody of minor children: 17-year-old Pax, 16-year-old Zakhara, 15-year-old Shiloh and 13-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. The couple also have an older son, Maddox, who turned 20 this summer.
