Today at the Moscow Art Theater. Chekhov, a gathering of the troupe took place, which was conducted by the new artistic director of the theater, Konstantin Khabensky – the actor was appointed to this position a month ago. Renata Litvinova, Paulina Andreeva, Svetlana Ustinova, Daria Moroz, Pavel Tabakov, Irina Miroshnichenko and other famous theater actors gathered in the theater hall.

The personnel reshuffle in the theater was preceded by a number of scandals. Thus, indignation in the theatrical community was caused by the fact that the former artistic director Sergei Zhenovach removed several of the most popular performances from the repertoire, including The Ideal Husband directed by Konstantin Bogomolov. During his reign, Andrei Burkovsky, Daria Moroz and Igor Zolotovitsky also left the theater. Burkovsky then said that “he stopped considering the Moscow Art Theater his home, as it was under Oleg Tabakov.” After a change of leadership (Zhenovach left of his own accord), the actors returned to the team.
