Madonna and son David
A few days ago, the son of 63-year-old singer Madonna David Banda turned 16 years old. Yesterday, the star shared family snapshots of the heir's birthday – they threw a party in the backyard of their Los Angeles home.
The holiday was held in a narrow family circle. The garden was decorated with colorful balloons and gold foil letters that made up the name of the birthday boy.
David is the adopted son of a star. She adopted him in 2006 when she was married to Guy Ritchie. David's own father was then alive and reacted positively to the couple's desire to adopt his son, as he understood that they could provide a better life for him.
The singer is raising five more children: biological daughter Lourdes Leon from former lover Carlos Leon and son Rocco from Guy Ritchie, as well as adopted daughters of Mercy James, Stella and Esther.

Congratulating her son on his birthday three days ago, Madonna wrote that she was very proud of him.
I can't believe you grew into this young man. Such an artist, such an athlete. Such a charismatic person. Who knew when I met you at an orphanage in Malawi, drinking cola from a baby bottle and without a diaper, that you would become such a force of nature? Happy 16th birthday. I am so proud of you!
