Rumors about the possible departure of Zhenovach from the theater appeared some time ago. The problems worsened after the artistic director decided to remove from the repertoire the production created by Kirill Serebrennikov, to which many in the theatrical environment reacted extremely negatively. Prior to that, Zhenovach had already removed several successful productions from the repertoire, which is why many called him an ineffective manager. Actors began to leave the Moscow Art Theater, the other day Andrei Burkovsky left it. It is obvious that the theater is in crisis.
Evgeny Mironov was named one of the main contenders for the post of artistic director of the Moscow Art Theater, Konstantin Khabensky did not appear among the candidates.
