Last week, London hosted traditional events to mark the Day of Remembrance of the Fallen, which is celebrated on 11 November. Members of the royal family took part in a ceremony yesterday to honor the memory of those killed in military conflicts.
Kate Middleton, Camilla Parker Bowles and the Duchess of Wessex Sophie appeared on the balcony of the Ministry of Defense building, and princes Charles and William, Princess Anne and Boris Johnson laid wreaths at the cenotaph.

95-year-old Queen Elizabeth II canceled her participation in the event at the last moment. The palace said that she pulled her back. It was supposed to be the Queen's first public exit after doctors advised her to rest for almost a month after medical examinations at the hospital. At Buckingham Palace, they noted that Elizabeth II was very upset that she would have to miss the ceremony, as she considers this event very important. The last time she skipped it was 22 years ago.
