Kate Middleton and Prince William
The long-awaited world premiere of Carey Fukunagi's No Time to Die, a film about the new adventures of the legendary special agent in the service of Her Majesty James Bond, took place in London today. Representatives of the British royal family also attended the show. So, on the red carpet at the “Albert Hall” appeared Prince William, who is the president of BAFTA, and Kate Middleton, as well as Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles. For the exit, Kate chose a luxurious dress in gold sequins Jenny Packham.

All four had previously attended Bond movie premieres. So, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were invited to the screening of the film “007: Spectrum” in 2015, and the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall attended the premiere of the film “007: Skyfall” in 2012. In addition, Prince Charles came to the set “No Time to Die.” Attendance at major film premieres is generally a tradition in the royal family. For example, Queen Elizabeth II herself attended the red carpet films such as “Me and the Colonel” in 1958, “Born Free” in 1966 and “The Parent Trap “1998.

At the premiere, Prince William and Prince Charles and their spouses met with the film's lead actors Daniel Craig, Rami Malek and Leah Seydoux, and were introduced to the film's creative team, including screenwriters Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Neil Purvis and Robert Wade, and singer Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O'Connell, who wrote the title track of the film. Among those invited to the premiere were also medical workers and military personnel.

Before the premiere, Daniel Craig also received a military rank. He was awarded the title of Honorary Commander of the Royal Navy of Great Britain – the same is worn by his on-screen hero. Recall that “No Time to Die” is the last film in which the viewer will see Craig in the role of Bond. For the first time, the actor played this iconic character back in 2006 in the movie “Casino Royale”. In total, Craig's career has five Bond films, and the original contract was for four films. At first, the actor categorically refused to renew it, but in the end he agreed to play in another film.
Who will replace him now is still not known for certain, and several candidates are being discussed in the press, including Idris Elba, Tom Hardy and Tom Hiddleston. It is possible that a woman will also play Bond. At least in the new film, when James Bond retired, the legendary 007 code is inherited by secret agent Nomi, played by Lashana Lynch.

The story of the painting “No Time to Die” turned out to be no less dramatic than the adventures of the agent himself. Director Danny Boyle and screenwriter John Hodge were supposed to work on the tape, but in 2018 both left the project due to creative differences in the team. Because of this, the start of filming had to be postponed until 2019. Difficulties arose with the rental – the premiere was originally scheduled for April 2020, but all events had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But now fans will finally be able to see the highly anticipated film. The film will be released in cinemas in Russia on October 7.
