The HBO channel has presented the first teaser of the prequel to one of the most popular TV series of our time “Game of Thrones” called “House of the Dragon”. A minute-long video, consisting of the first frames of the new show, hardly reveals the details of the plot. However, you can see the key characters of the “House of Dragons” performed by Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Evans, Olivia Cook, Emma D'Arcy and many others.

Judging by the first shots, the Game of Thrones prequel will also feature many swordfights, mysteries, conspiracies and bloody wars.

The new HBO show will tell about the events that took place 200 years before the fall of the throne. The plot will focus on the civil war between the ancestors of Daenerys Targaryen – Princess Rainira and Prince Aegon II. The role of Rainira in “House of the Dragon” went to Emma D'Arcy, but who will play her main enemy is still kept secret.

Rumors of a prequel hit almost as soon as Game of Thrones ended, and in 2020 HBO confirmed the launch of House of Dragons. The script for the show was based on the novel “Fire and Blood” by George Martin, and one of the showrunners of the project was Miguel Sapochnik, who had previously worked on Game of Thrones. There will be a total of 10 episodes of the show. The exact date of the premiere is still unknown: it is scheduled for the spring of 2022.
