After winning Eurovision, Italian glam rockers Måneskin are clearly not going to remain in the status of local stars and authors of one hit. The group is actively seeking to gain the status of world stars and is currently conquering America.
The band recently performed on the hit show Jimmy Fallon and were interviewed by Dazed magazine, which was accompanied by provocative photos (some of the most dedicated fans have already seen on the group's Instagram as part of the promo for the new Mammamia video). Members of the group, who also recently became the faces of the Gucci campaign, commented on their bold stage looks.
We grew up in Italy where society can be very old fashioned and conservative, we have experienced discrimination many times, especially in the music industry, because of the way we look and everything else. But it's just a part of us and we feel like we can talk about it,
– shared bassist Victoria De Angelis.
We hope we can inspire people to dress and behave the way they want in everyday life,
– added the soloist Damiano David.
The musicians also once again expressed their support for the LGBT + community.
We think that everyone should be absolutely free to be who they want … Love is never wrong,
– said David.
Recall that recently at a concert in Poland, he and guitarist Thomas Raji kissed on stage amid the rise of anti-LGBT sentiment in this country.
The musicians also admitted that they do not take criticism from haters to heart.
It's about doing something cool that people just don't want to understand, but condemn it and write bad comments at the same time. But of course it's very funny. Basically we were laughing at the haters
– said David.
Recall that now the group is actively preparing for its first world tour, which is to start in February next year. It is already known that Måneskin will return to Russia and perform in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
