People's Artist of Russia, singer and composer Alexander Gradsky died at the age of 72. Several days ago he was urgently taken to a Moscow hospital with suspected stroke. The media report that the coronavirus infection he suffered in September could have led to a deterioration in health.
The sad news about the death of the artist has already been confirmed on Channel One – Gradsky was one of the mentors of the popular show “The Voice”.
Gradskiy graduated from the Gnessin Institute of Music and Pedagogy (now the Russian Academy of Music), majoring in vocal. In 1965 he created one of the first Soviet rock groups “Slavyane”. In total, Gradsky's discography includes dozens of albums. He worked on the creation of a number of rock operas, was the composer of many films, including “Romance of Lovers”, “Prisoner of If Castle”, his music and songs performed by him also sounded in the cartoons “The Princess and the Cannibal”, “The Blue Puppy” , “The Legend of the Old Lighthouse”. As a vocalist, Gradsky sang not only on stage, but also in opera and even performed on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater.

Gradsky was officially married three times, from his third marriage he has two children. In recent years, he was in a relationship with Marina Kotashenko, they had two sons.
