Britney Spears
In the protracted battle of 39-year-old Britney Spears for freedom, an important event happened yesterday – the court removed her father Jamie Spears from the post of her guardian and thus removed his authority to manage the singer's finances. So far, we are talking about a temporary measure – until the end of the year, a professional auditor will be in charge of the state of the star of the pop scene.
However, Britney's father clearly does not intend to accept this defeat in silence. Through a confidant, the man has already conveyed to the press his comment on the suspension.
Mr. Spears loves his daughter Britney unconditionally. For thirteen years, he tried to do what was in her best interest, being her guardian and father. This was the case from the very beginning, when she voluntarily accepted guardianship and when this agreement was made, which included helping her rekindle her career and rebuild her relationship with her children. Anyone who has had a relative with mental problems is able to understand how much effort and daily worries such help requires.
Mr. Spears has also been forced to bite his tongue and not respond to all the false, speculative and unfounded attacks on him from certain members of the public, the media or, more recently, Britney's own lawyer. All these facts have led to the fact that yesterday's hearing was disappointing and, frankly, was a loss for Britney.
The court was wrong and wrong to remove Mr. Spears from office and put in his place a stranger to manage Britney's estate. Thus, the court extended the guardianship, which Britney asked to end this summer.
Again, it was Mr. Spears who took the initiative to petition for termination of guardianship when neither Britney's former court-appointed lawyer nor her new privately hired lawyer did so. It was Mr. Spears who asked the court at yesterday's hearing to end the guardianship immediately, while Britney's own lawyer objected.
– said in a statement provided by Spears' lawyer Vivian L. Thorin.

However, the press quoted the following words of Britney's lawyer in court:
Britney wants, needs and deserves an orderly transition. She has been abused by this man over the past decade and since childhood. Britney Spears has testified under oath of the brutality and toxic presence of James Spears in her life.
The decision to dismiss yesterday in the Los Angeles Supreme Court was made by Judge Brenda Penny, who is in charge of the guardianship case (in the summer, when Britney testified on the phone, she spoke with Penny).
Removal from office in the interests of Britney Spears. The current situation does not hold water
– said the judge.
It was also announced that this court decision is not subject to appeal.
The singer's lawyer Matthew Rosengart also managed to talk to journalists and, of course, called the decision an important victory in the case.
I think you can assume that she is very happy! Our goal is to completely free Britney from custody before she turns 40 on December 2nd.
– said the lawyer.
The next hearing in the case is scheduled for November 12, and it is expected that it will be then that the issue of the complete abolition of guardianship will be decided.
