A few days ago, 39-year-old Britney Spears gave her fans a reason to rejoice for her – the singer announced her engagement to her 27-year-old boyfriend Sam Asgari. However, yesterday, the star made her fans very excited – Britney deleted her Instagram page without any explanation.

The artist's fans sounded the alarm – various versions of why the singer deleted her account appeared on the network. Many netizens have come to believe that this may have something to do with her guardianship battle. After the star said in the summer that for many years her life was strictly controlled, and called for the immediate removal of her father's guardian Jamie Spears, Britney began to openly blog about her life, full of limitations and hardships. She also began to publish her pictures in a semi-nude form, which she had not done before.

All this led Spears fans to the idea that she deleted Instagram not of her own free will, but under pressure from outside.

However, a few hours after the deletion of the blog, Spears contacted the fans on Twitter and hurried to reassure them, saying that she would soon return to the social network:

Guys, don't worry. I just took a little social media break to celebrate my engagement. I'll be back soon!

According to an insider, the star thus decided to send a powerful message during her battle for custody with her own father.

She is happy and in a great place. And silence can be a very strong and powerful message

– he noted.

However, Britney's attempt to reassure her fans was not very successful – many of them did not believe her words. It is worth noting that it is not known if Britney is actually in charge of her social media on her own.

In July, the New Yorker published an investigation revealing that approximately 10 people were responsible for her legal and business affairs, public relations and social media, including her Instagram and Twitter posts. The article says that Spears' team claims that they usually write messages and send them to a third party who then publishes them. However, some topics for publication on her blogs were banned, such as the struggle for guardianship.

Britney is now close to finally freeing herself from her father's custody and becoming free – for the first time in 13 years. Jamie Spears has already filed a motion to end custody of his daughter.
