Channel One shared sad news this morning – the legendary announcer Igor Kirillov is gone today. He was 89 years old.
An assistant to the TV presenter told RBC that Kirillov “did not suffer from any crown”:
Igor Kirillov has passed away. This, unfortunately, is the case, older people are leaving. He did not suffer from any crown, only yesterday he discussed the conditions of participation in the filming of the “Secret for a Million” program with Lera Kudryavtseva. He just didn’t wake up, he left quietly. There were no seizures.
For more than 20 years, Igor Kirillov was the announcer of the Vremya program, and at various times he hosted the Novosti and Blue Light programs. Until 2006, he was the announcer of the Victory Parade broadcasts.
